ArAr Andales: Resilient Filipino Boxer’s Journey

ArAr Andales, a 24-year-old Filipino boxer, has been making waves in the world of professional boxing. Born in Allen, Northern Samar, Philippines, Andales has carved out a respectable career in the minimumweight division, boasting a record of 14 wins, 2 losses, and 3 draws, with 6 of those victories coming by way of knockout.

Andales’ journey to the professional ranks began at a young age, honing his skills in the amateur circuit before turning pro in 2019. His tenacity and unwavering determination quickly caught the attention of boxing enthusiasts, as he consistently displayed a relentless fighting style and an indomitable spirit inside the ring.

One of Andales’ most notable achievements came in 2019 when he earned the opportunity to challenge for the WBA minimumweight world title against Thailand’s Knockout CPF. Although he ultimately fell short in his bid for the coveted belt, Andales’ gutsy performance earned him widespread respect and admiration from fans and pundits alike.

In recent years, Andales has continued to climb the ranks, securing impressive victories over formidable opponents such as Rey Caitom and Wilfredo Mendez. His aggressive, come-forward style and unwavering work rate have made him a fan favorite, as he consistently delivers action-packed bouts that keep spectators on the edge of their seats.

However, Andales’ journey has not been without its challenges. In March 2024, he was scheduled to face Japanese prodigy Ginjiro Shigeoka for the IBF minimumweight world title in Nagoya, Japan. Unfortunately, Andales was forced to withdraw from the highly anticipated bout, citing undisclosed reasons.

Despite this setback, Andales remains undeterred, his sights firmly set on capturing a world title and cementing his legacy as one of the Philippines’ most accomplished minimumweight boxers. With his unwavering spirit and relentless determination, it’s only a matter of time before Andales finds himself back in the spotlight, vying for boxing’s ultimate prize.
